The 9th annual Oregon Chocolate Festival will take place at the Ashland Springs Hotel between March 1 and 3, 2013. For this fun weekend we are offering a 20% discount for your weekend stay. In addition to the tastings and treats offered throughout the weekend, festival goers can attend number of educational presentations and chef demos that will take place in the hotel lobby. Meet chefs, pastry chefs and chocolatiers who will demonstrate their favorite recipes, cooking tips, and baking secrets! Each month Ashland Gallery Association organizes the First Friday Art Walk. Check out Ashland galleries on Friday, March 1st and enjoy diverse forms of art, local wines and of course chocolates. You might have heard about Dagoba (our good-night chocolates) or Lillie Belle Farms. These are well established and nationally recognized chocolatiers, who originated right here in the Rogue Valley. Ashland, Oregon is nestled between the beautiful Cascade Mountain Range and the Siskiyou Mountains.

Named for the town of Ashland, the highest peak in the Siskiyou Mountains is Mt Ashland and welcomes visitors all year round.

Visiting Mount Ashland in the summer, you will look forward to hiking the Mt. Ashland Nature Trail. The 3/4 mile trail loops around to 14 points of interest, giving a 360 degree panorama view at the crest. Most of the trail is shady and cool, providing a welcome break from the summer heat.

Winter visitors will get to experience our legendary ski area. Ski lessons are offered for ages 4 and up. Ashland, Oregon is famous for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival which presents plays of all types for most of the year.  For 2012, the plays started in February and will run until November, so there is still time to see these masters of theater perform their craft!

Catch an adapted classic with Romeo and Juliet, until November 4th.  Set in the 1840s, this adaptation is sure to pull at your heartstrings as much as the original.
